Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Holdaspot. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Bookings & Payments

Holdaspot facilitates connections between guests seeking event spaces and hosts offering them. When a guest submits a booking request, the host may accept or decline. Accepted bookings create a binding agreement between the guest and host.

Payments are processed through Holdaspot. We collect the total booking amount (including our service fee) from the guest and remit the host's portion within 48 hours of the event. Our service fee ranges from 8-12% depending on the booking amount.

4. Cancellations

Each listing specifies its own cancellation policy. Guests should review the cancellation terms before booking. If a host cancels a confirmed booking, the guest receives a full refund and the host may face account restrictions. We may waive cancellation fees in cases of documented emergencies.

5. Listings & Content

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listing information, including photos, descriptions, pricing, and availability. Holdaspot reviews listings before publication but does not guarantee the accuracy of host-provided content. We reserve the right to remove listings that are misleading or that violate these Terms.

6. Host Guarantee

Our host guarantee covers eligible property damage up to $10,000 per booking. Hosts must document damage with photos and submit a claim within 72 hours of the event. Claims are reviewed within 5 business days. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or damage caused by the host's own negligence.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: misrepresent your identity or listing details; use the Service for unlawful purposes; harass other users; circumvent our payment system; scrape or bulk-download content without permission; or attempt to book venues for events that violate local laws or regulations.

8. Limitation of Liability

Holdaspot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury at booked venues, or financial losses from cancelled events. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid to Holdaspot in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
